 FAQ

Why does JCP charge a membership fee?

Our membership is for those that are serious about our services. Since there are third parities involved (charter operators, JCP support, other JCP members) we don't want users to abuse our services. The membership fee also gives us the opportunity to market and retain more members to make our services self-sustaining. Those that are familiar with private aviation and are serious about changing their travel method, the service fees we charge is minimal compared to the savings and the services we offer. We do not charge commissions or mark up the cost of the trip in any way. The current membership fees are only for introduction period.

Are you JCP-ing?

If you are networking with local professionals on Jetcharterpool.com and flying private instead of commercial, you are JCP-ing.

If you are saving thousands on jet charter costs and don't stand in lines at the airport, you are JCP-ing.

If you arrive 10 minutes before your flight, you are JCP-ing.

If your in-flight consists of plastic wrappings of any sort (meals, pillows), you are NOT JCP-ing.

If you are standing in line with a First Class Ticket, you are NOT JCP-ing.

If you are at the airport 2 and a half hours prior to departure time, you are NOT JCP-ing.

If you just spent over 30K on a private jet charter and the aircraft is half empty, you are not JCP-ing.

What is JCP-ing?

JCP-ing is a new term that refers to how you fly. If you are part of the JetCharterPool.com community you are JCP-ing, because you have taken the first step to escape the inconveniences that accompany commercial aviation. If you fly private with the aircraft half empty you could be saving thousands by jet sharing the overall cost.

Jet Charter 101

When you lease a jet you lease the entire jet. If you are traveling with just two additional passengers and the aircraft seats 10, charter operators do not assist in locating additional passengers. You can only do this with JCP. Other similar services will not let you communicate effortlessly with all the tools that JCP offers. Learn More

Empty Legs are one way trips when the aircraft has to be backhauled to base after a one way trip. These empty legs can be negotiated down to 50% or less.

Jet Charter is the ultimate luxury when it comes to travel. Trips are scheduled around the travelers and not the airline schedules.

Traveler's board aircraft through an Fixed Based Operator (FBO) as oppose to terminals for commercial aviation. FBO's are equipped with all the amenities to accommodate all executive and luxury travelers.

Catering can be arranged for in-flight meals to suite the traveler's diet.

If you travel by first class you will notice that there are 10-12 passengers that are spending extra for the "First Class" experience. By spending a little more and employing the JCP method more people can now experience travel by jet charter. An average trip from SFO to LAS with a two night stay is around 9K on a private jet. Divide 9K by 8 passengers and you too can fly private for a little over 1K. Help us spread the news about JCP and how private jet travel is a viable option for those seeking the ultimate comfort, privacy and luxury. Learn More

How does JCP work?

When a trip is created we try to collect as many interested travelers for that trip. Then we contact member charter operators for quotes.
Then we notify interested travelers what the price of the entire trip and price per passenger is to see if they are still interested. If all are interested then we make the trip available for these passengers to commit and submit payments to the charter operators. Once all the passengers have committed and payments have been made.

What happens if not all the interested travelers commit?

We try to locate additional passengers through our network and market that trip online to see if we can collect additional travelers. If we are unable to meet the quoted price then we try to get a smaller aircraft to accommodate those that have committed.

Do you sell seats?

NO. We allow members to communicate and travel in groups and share the cost. We DO NOT MARKET individual seats nor do we assign seats. Our goal to allow our members the ability to communicate with other members to share the cost of jet charter.

What if I don't want to share the cost and would like to get a quote for a private trip?

Cost sharing is an option. You do not have to share your trips. We can work with our member charter companies to provide our members with competitive quotes.

If I want to fly with family do they have to be members of JCP?

Only if the trip is not private. For trips that you wish to share the cost only JCP members can participate.

Do I have to re-register when my membership expires?

NO. Once your membership has expired simply log in using your login and you will be notified that your membership has expired and a link to renew your membership will appear on the login page.

What if I want to cancel my commitment to a trip?

The charter operator you engage with will have their own cancelation policies. You will be made aware of these policies prior to commitment.

Safety Protocol:

Jet Charter Pool members can be assured of our company’s best effort to determine a Charter Operator(s) legal status.  Crucial in determining whether a prospective Charter Operator is legal to conduct “for hire” passenger transportation, is the examination of their F.A.A.-approved Air Carrier status.  This process will be performed as a value added service to our members once an operator becomes engaged or otherwise contracted for air travel by a JCP participating member(s).  We will endeavor to provide our members with both public and operator supplied (when made available to JCP) information deemed accurate by the JCP Operations team regarding a prospective Charter Operator provider(s). Additionally, on our website, we will provide navigation links for JCP members wherein safety and FAA compliance information on Air Carriers and Aircraft could be obtained. Importantly, JCP does not promote or recommend any particular charter operator or aircraft for any member-originated charter flight. We are a communication service provider, as such; the traveling (JCP Member) party(s) shall make all decisions regarding operator suitability.  The JCP Operations team will provide the aforementioned service, equating to a “best effort” determination of operator legal status, based upon the accuracy of the information available to the Operations team at the time of inquiry.  This information is limited in scope as to an operator’s status as an F.A.A.-approved Air Carrier and shall not be construed as an opinion regarding operator safety, quality, or suitability.
